Dairy free Valsoia products from Ciao Gusto- review

Delicious dairy free chocolate spread and cream

Do you know how hard is to be gluten and dairy intolerant?

The struggle is real. When I’ve got my blood test results it showed that I supposed to avoid everything that contains wheat and cow milk I was really upset. I thought I will need to eat rice for the rest of my days.

In my head was so many questions. For example, If I will be able to eat ice creams (can you imagine life without ice creams? Me neither!). What about cream for soups and sauces. What kind of bread or pasta I can eat. It’s not a joke but most of the products contain milk. If I found something dairy free it wasn’t gluten-free. Sometimes I was really devastated. I was bored with all that food which I was allowed to eat. The easiest products which I could have were vegetables and fruits (wow!).

Changing eating habits

I had to learn everything from the beginning. I’ve started to read which plant milk is the best. What flour I can use to prepare a cake or muffins. I discovered so many lovely brands which deliver delicious and healthy products for people like me. I’ve started to believe I will not need to eat boring meals.

But I had a problem with my breakfast. It was always corn flakes and muesli (all gluten-free of course with almond milk). From time to time I wanted to eat something new like a fresh roll or bread with a chocolate spread but I couldn’t find any without dairy. So I thought I need to forget about it or need to do a homemade spread for the rest of my life.

And that was a time when I was asked to review products from Ciao Gusto Italian Deli at Ocado. I did not hesitate even for a minute when I saw that they have on board Valsoia brand who do an amazing range of soya and vegan products. I was ready for something new in my kitchen and of course on my plate!

Discovering new products

I couldn’t help myself and I have to order a Valsoia Dairy free chocolate spread, Candisoia Soya Cream and Dairy-free Ice creams! I can tell you that those products are amazing. Spread and cream are my favourites. You would be not able to say that they’re dairy free. Those products are so delicious that even my husband was amazed by their taste. Honestly, I had butterflies in my stomach when I tried them.

So, If you are a fan of Italian food or looking for some new and tasty dairy free products you should add Ciao Gusto Italian Deli at Ocado to your favourites. CG brings together over 30 of Italy’s most popular brands, so you can find exactly what you’re looking for. There are many brands that are still owned and run by the same families who established them – some as far back as in the 1800s! Which means You don’t need to be afraid of quality. Also, I will recommend Valsoia products for vegans, dairy intolerance and everyone who wants to discover new and exciting ingredients.

Let me know if you already know Ciao Gusto or Valsoia! I really would like to know your thoughts! 🙂

I wouldn’t mind giving these a try. I’ll have to show these to my mom as well. She’s dairy free now!

I am gluten and dairy intolerant. I haven’t had them in my life for 15 years. It’s actually super easy for me. I can imagine it being hard for people who are new to ditching these ingredients. But I promise it gets WAY easier!

There are two in my family who have to eat gluten-free foods and one dairy free. Being able to buy for all 3 of them would be a dream. It really is hard to find products like this. I wouldn’t mind trying this myself even though I’m not on any kind of restrictive diet.

It’s got to be really hard to find good products with both dairy and gluten intolerances. I have a lactose intolerance which really only bothers me when I drink milk. I love that you found valsoia and that works for you.
