Best summer holiday reads

Keep calm and read

Don’t leave your house without packing best holiday reads. Whether you planned your holiday or you are going for last minute holiday a good book is a must. Lying back on the beach with a book is a real luxury. Especially if you are a busy Mom. Also packing the right book takes a lot of consideration. So to make it easier for you, I’ve prepared a short list with my favourite holiday books.

Sophie Kinsella ‘Twenties Girl’

Best books for hlidays

OK, so Sophie Kinsella is my favourite author. When I read her books I always laugh and can’t stop smile. To read her books I need 1 or 2 days so they are perfect for holiday 😉 Twenties Girl is my Sophie’s recent read. The plot is really nice 😛 ‘Lara has always had an overactive imagination. Now she wonders if she is losing her mind. Normal twenty-something girls just don’t get visited by ghosts! But inexplicably, the spirit of Lara’s great aunt Sadie – in the form of a bold, demanding Charleston-dancing girl – has appeared to make one last request: Lara must track down a missing necklace Sadie simply can’t rest without.’ If you are a fan of retro style you will love it 🙂

Christina Lauren ‘Beautiful Bastard’

My selection for best holidays reads

It’s an erotic romance novel. Sounds interesting? Oh yes, and it really is. It’s funny, spicy and you will love it. Plot: ‘Chloe Mills is an ambitious intern. Se is smart, hardworking and on her way to an MBA. But she has only one serious problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible.’ I know what you think you need to get that book right now! 🙂

Margot Lee Shetterly ‘Hidden Figures’

Holidays best reads

That book was an inspiration for a movie with the same title. You can read about the true story of the female African-American mathematicians employed at NASA who helped launch the program’s first successful space missions. Every woman should read it! We can be smart as well and we can do things better than a man even maths. And you can learn that anyone can be a hero even if they’re not in the spotlight.

Jojo Moyes ‘After You’

Best books for holidays

I don’t know if there is anyone on the planet earth who didn’t hear about the book Me before you. And now you can read the second part of this amazing story. I fall in love on Louisa Clark from the first page. So I need it to know how she was able to live after she lost her big love. It’s funny, real and sad at the same time. You can’t miss it.

I really enjoyed reading these books. There is nothing better than spending a holiday in a nice place with a perfect book in your hand.

Did you read some of these books? What do you think about them? Are they good for holidays?

I loved hidden figures and me before you but I felt that the follow up story of her moving on might be too unbearable! First two are not my kinda books though. It’s nice to carry a good book around while traveling though

It never occurred to me that Hidden Figures was a novel first. Wondering – did you see the movie and if you saw it first, did you still get something out of the book?
