Why Christmas tree is so special?
Decorating Christmas tree with my brother and sister is probably the best childhood memories we have. I remember that we were so excited and we had our little fights about who should put the star on the top of the tree. I really miss my family, especially during Christmas time. Those days are not so magical nowadays when we are apart and leaving in different countries. So, now I’m focusing mostly on my son. We want to make Christmas really special for him.
Make your own Christmas tree
This year we decided to make our little Christmas tree by ourselves. My son was so thrilled when we were making it that I know it was a great idea. And I love to see how he is proud of his little tree.
I’m also proud. I’m proud of my husband that he can use his imagination, creativity and of course his patient and make beautiful things with our boy. I love to see how they do everything together and that my little boy has the opportunity to learn from his Dad.
But OK coming back to our Christmas tree. It’s not the biggest one and luxury one, not even expensive. But for me, it’s the most beautiful Christmas tree in the world. I’m almost sure that we are the only one who has that kind of tree:)
Christmas tree DIY
What you need to make our tree
- 27 paper rolls. Ours is bigger than toilet paper rolls.
- Hot glue gun
- Colour papers
- 25 Christmas baubles
- Green and brown paint
- Skewer sticks
Firstly my husband stuck together 25 paper rolls and make a tree shape. From 2 paper rolls, he did a tree trunk. He simply put one on another and stuck on it skewer sticks. I know it’s not easy to imagine it but you will see everything on short video π When it dried my boys painted our tree and they put a colour paper inside the rolls. And they were able to hang baubles inside.
We didn’t know where we should put our Christmas tree and how to make it stand still. Fortunately, we found an old pot and we redecorate it with Christmas tapes. For me, all together look just perfect π
Now I can feel that Christmas spirit and can’t wait to put all presents under our tree.
