Being Mum is the hardest job EVER!

Five month ago I became a Mum for the first time and with my hand on heart I can say that being a Mum is really hard job. Did I expect that? Hmmm Yes and No. I knew that I can forgot about sleeping. But I didn’t know that it will be such a pain in my ass. For the first 2 month I was like a Zombie. I could play one of the main role in ‘The Walking Dead’. And the Oscar goes to…Ohmummymia!

Yep that could be my story. But I discover that people (Mummies) doesn’t need to sleep for 8 hours at night. Half of this is legit as well. Of course on the beginning I was devastating because my sister daughter (only 5 weeks older than my LP) was sleeping all night and waking up 6 am for feed. After that she was sleeping till 10 am! For God’s sake where she found that baby?! Anyway my lovely Mum all the time was asking if he is sleeping all night. So our conversations were like:

My Mummy: Is out Little Prince sleeping all night?

Me: No Mummy he is not.

MM: How it’s possible your sister’s daughter sleep till 10 am

Me: Oh really? You keep saying it all the time MUM.

MM: Why you are so angry? Don’t worry he will be…soon.

I’m on the phone with my Mummy 3 times a week. You can imagine how happy I was 🙂

Finally when she stopped asking my son start sleeping all night. MIRACLE! But yeah it is not only about sleepless nights. I started wonder how it’s possible that being at home with such a Sweetheart is making me more tired than being 12 hours at work.

Any thoughts? Yes I have some. Because babies love routine every day we waking up 6 am!. Till 9 am my baby is not sleeping even if he is tired. (He is tough guy). So I’m trying to take him for walk with hope that he will sleep at least half hour. Sometimes he is sleeping if not he is moaning 🙁 I’m start thinking that he is the only baby on the world who doesn’t like going out. When we coming back he wants to sleep. Yuuupiiii!!! NOP. Is not so simple. Mummy needs to sleep with him because his perfect position is…sleeping on Mummy’s tummy. At least I can sleep during his nap (Huuuray). When he is waking up I need to entertain him a little bit. After 6 pm we have bath and baby is going to sleep. What with Mummy? She is tired as f*ck and she is going to sleep as well.

No time for Mummy 🙁 Even when she is going pee baby is moaning (Why you leaving me alone you bi*ch!). I have only half hour for bath after Mr I Know Everything is coming home from work. And that half hour is everything for Mummy 😀

Anyway after this 5 month I need to admit that I’m keep going better. On the beginning even changing nappy was a big challenge and was taking time. Now I can do that even with my eyes closed. I didn’t know that I can run so fast (when baby is crying). I’ve learned that I don’t to eat a lot (so why my weight is still the same:/?).

Yes being Mum is hard and exhaustive. But I could give a lot to stay with LP at home as long as possible. I can say that I’m fulfilled and is the most inspiring time in my life. Being a Mum is my dream come true.

Yes being a mum is so so hard. The sleep deprivation is quite a shocker and it’s surprising how little sleep we can actually ‘get by’ on. Neither of my two slept more than 2-3 hours for the first 11 moths of their lives, and I had them within in 11 months of each other so I didn’t sleep for a good 2 years. It was tough. But we seem to have cracked it now, I still can’t go to the toilet, have a shower or do anything on my own but hey at least we’re no longer zombies. Anyway I hear ya, being mum is tough but you are doing fab. Thank you for sharing with us at #familyfun. Hope to see you again next week. Xx

Ha this AM I had the most happiest of morning. For the first in FOREVER my youngest slept in till 8 am and SO did I. I even twitted I felt like I had a sleep hangover.. I think she was feeling bad for me since I had been staying up to wait for her oldest brother who started to work and is closing shift, and her sister who is sick so I have been a walking sleeping zombie and working with my other son.. MAN if we got a paycheck for what we do at home OHHH we would break banks lol.. It’s the hardest but most rewarding work EVER.

I feel the same way. I have been a stay at home mum for the last five years and it beats any job I could ever have. Some women need to work, and that’s their decision entirely, but I am so fulfilled with my life as a Mummy, it’s more than I could ever have hoped for after everything we went through to get these babies of ours. #KCACOLS
