Since we had our boy We’ve tested tons of wet wipes and still we can’t decide which ones are best. On the beginning, most of the ingredients sound for me like a Chinese. Potassium Laureth Phosphate, Polysorbate 20, PEG-75 Lanolin? Sorry, do I buy some kind of chemical bomb? But anyway even I didn’t know what does it mean I’ve started being suspicious. I’ve started translating every ingredient and hey…you don’t need to be a chemist to know that’s some of them can be quite dangerous. So from now on I will be explaining you ingredients from baby’s products (cosmetics, food etc) and you will choose what you want to give to your baby:) I don’t need to tell you how happy I was when we were asked for reviewing the world’s purest baby wipes- WaterWipes. Are they really good? Are they chemicals free? Are they worth the price?
No chemicals?
As you can read on a label WaterWipes contain only two ingredients, 99.9% purified water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. Awesome right? Every Mom knows that baby’s skin is delicate and more sensitive than adults. So these wipes are really soft, gentle and kind to baby’s skin. Plus WaterWipes are the only baby wipes ever to be approved by Allergy UK. This also means that there are no preservatives at all.
The packaging Why I didn’t buy them before? Because I read so many reviews that couple wipes come out at once and I really don’t like it. But surprisingly so far I didn’t have that problem and I always take out one wipe. I like the design because it’s simple as their ingredients. The price is also higher than a lot of brands but you know you are paying for the natural product which is safe for your baby.
Tips for keeping them in good condition
- They should be used within 4 weeks of opening and as all fresh products, you should reclose the label and store in cool dry place. So do not leave them in a hot car or in the sun
- Do not cut, open the pack or transfer the wipes to another container
- Because there are no chemicals to ‘bind’ the liquid to the wipes, the water can sometimes migrate to the bottom of the pack, making the top wipes feel a bit dry. To remedy this, simply turn the closed pack over and squeeze it a few times and that will redistribute the water throughout the wipes.
Do We recommend them?
I can’t say No because I love the fact that WaterWipes are chemical free. So I do not hesitate to clean my baby’s face and I’m not really concerned when he put them in his mouth. They are moist and natural smell, the texture is fine so they have everything I like in wipes. They are good especially for babies with nappy rash and very sensitive skin (eczema). We will definitely keep using them 🙂

14 July 2017 at 02:12I know a few babies with eczema so this is something to recommend to their parents! I like your tips on how to keep them from lasting longer – especially with the fact that they dry out quicker than others.

14 July 2017 at 22:37I’m spending the summer testing different wipes. I like the water wipes; they are definitely super sensitive. But they aren’t great for the inevitable poop explosions. I haven’t picked a favorite yet. What is you absolute favorite?
